We were very happy with the service provided by Luis from The Comfort Authority. We'd been having problems with the wiring on our thermostat, and he fixed the wiring, and also helped us with another issue we had that he found while doing his inspection. He is very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly - and completed all the work on the same day. We hope to see Luis again for our yearly inspection :).

Rick was right on time and very thorough. Informed and explained each step and offered options. Supplied written reports and pictures. Very well done. 12/15/23 Installed new heat pump on Dec 15 2023. Installation was conducted by Gary Clark, Zack and Peter. The whole job took only 7 hours and was done with minimal inconvenience. Very clean and no damage to the walls or floor. Very well done. The technicians were polite, knowledgeable and competent. Better than I expected, 5 stars all around. 12/20/23 Peter and Zack returned on Dec 20 to check things out and adjust some pressures to maximize the performance. Very prompt service and again, well done, 5 stars 7/26/24 Glenn was on time and kept me informed. Spent wuite a bit of time getting things right. Even had shoe covers. Well done 3/26/25 Had my HVAC system inspected today. Raymond Moudy was early and keep me informed of his early arrival. Job was thorough and done on time with no disruptions. 5 Stars

I have never been as pleased with a AC company as I was with The Comfort Authority. They were the most professional company I have done business with since moving to Florida over four years ago. Everyone associated with The Comfort Authority was on time and took extreme pride in their work. All the way from Derek who came out and went over all my options to Peter, Frank, Justin, Rae and Andre who installed my AC units. I will never use another AC company besides The Comfort Authority.

Comfort Authority was great! I got service within hours of reaching out about my HVAC system not working. After helping to correctly reinstall a nightmare of an air handler situation, the technician was able to diagnose and fix the issue. Chase was super thorough and up-front about the costs, and his friendly manner put me at ease. I wouldn’t hesitate to call this company again for service.

Based on the very high reviews on Yelp, I hired The Comfort Authority to come take a look at my non-functioning air conditioner. They have been nothing short of spectacular! I have seen only a few businesses with such solid communication systems in place in any service industry. Every single person has been extremely prompt and professional. I called on a Monday afternoon and talked to the receptionist then dispatcher whose names I forgot unfortunately, and they had technician Josh call me immediately to discuss specifics about my problem. Josh arranged for the on site technician James to come the very next morning. Being a novice when it comes to HVAC, James clearly showed me exactly why my system was failing due to multiple issues with my 12 year old system. He gave me options to discuss a repair or have a salesperson come talk about replacement. He did not try to pressure me into a new system at all even knowing my system was dead. I chose a new system obviously based on the age of my unit. James called Josh to arrange for salesperson Derick to come over and Derick arrived before James had packed up and left. It was literally less than three minutes. Derick and I walked through my entire house because he wanted to see all my rooms and vents and hear about my cooling complaints and issues in each room. He explained interesting and helpful things like how additions to existing structures often have difficulty with heating and cooling and that based on the size of my home and my preferred temperature that my electric bill should never be over $200 (which it often is during Summer). We looked at the compressor outside and he explained all the pieces and parts and what they each do. He told me all the changes in equipment I would see inside and out with the new system. Derick did not try to upsell me on any single component. He explained how all the units in the US are manufactured and that the basic differences are in the quality of installation. He assured me that the bells and whistles (continuous UV, surge protection, duct sanitization, new thermostat, etc.) were optional and that they could be added later on if I so desired. Derick was not a typical salesman. He was more interested in making me a happy customer than he was trying to increase the bottom line of the sale. He was honest and told me that The Comfort Authority was not the cheapest HVAC contractor (they shoot for a 10% profit vs. 30-40% like some other companies) but that they strive to be the best. It's pretty obvious that their mission has been accomplished. Derick added on the $500+ vent sanitization at no cost because he wanted me to have clean ducts to go along with my new system. The service techs Seth and Bryan came to install my new system the very next day and they were wonderful. They worked nonstop all day in my hot house without even a bathroom or lunch break. They were very pleasant and accommodating and concerned about not disrupting me. Before they left their very personable quality control tech Peter came to check off on their work. This company and its employees are top notch. They even have a system in place where you receive a text prior to their employees' arrival telling you and showing you a photo of who is coming along with a personal bio about them. For example, Derick doesn't like to wear matching socks! This is such a nice touch and I truly have not seen better customer service from any company. Seth, Bryan and Peter left no trace behind them and best of all, my entire house was cool in less than 5 minutes of them flipping the switch. I truly could not give this company a higher recommendation. Please don't call anyone else. Call The Comfort Authority!

Chris was extremely professional and courteous. As always, the Comfort Authority always provides great service on a timely basis and they always go above and beyond the call of duty, Chris embodies their mantra.

First time customer and very satisfied. The service was prompt and excellent with a careful explanation of exactly what the problem was with the ac unit and how to fix it with several different options offered. Just had Comfort Authority install a new system in a 10-year old house we bought recently. The old system worked but poorly. Derek fully explained the problem and the options for updating the system. In fact, he was knew the name of the existing unit before he even saw it because he had done extensive repairs in the neighborhood. Given the clarity of Derek’s explanation of our options and the pricing, we immediately decided to go with Comfort and had a new system installed by the end of the day. The installers were very professional and clean and kept us informed of their progress. New system works like a charm!

I really appreciate the communication and responsiveness of this company. They do offer some upsells but they are not pushy about it. One is a reasonable membership (especially for Florida) that could be beneficial to lots of households. I wish I had purchased my AC from them rather than AND air service through Home depot. That company was a nightmare. If you are deciding between the two, go w comfort authority.

Needed service on 3/20 and another great job, this time by Raymond. was on time, comfort authority responded quickly and very thorough explanation of issues. needed a minor fix the next day and came first thing in the morning. Again, highly recommend.

I had a good experience with Comfort Authority. They were cost neutral, prompt, polite, and cleaned up. But what really set them apart was when they talked me out of buying a more expensive system. I planned to buy a variable stage AC. It’s around $15k. The salesperson, Derek, shared the poor experiences of other customers who installed the system and downsold me to a standard single stage system at half the price. Since the system was installed this week, I cannot comment on its reliability but I can say that I trust Comfort Authority to do what’s right for their customers.

Luis showed up on time for our annual service and spent a good amount of time checking all parts of our system. He recommended a few upgrades which I am considering. Great service as always from The Comfort Authority!

I had new flooring installed, and the flooring company didn’t properly install the toilet back into the bathroom.So once I noticed there was a problem I was in search for a plumber and then remembered at the Comfort Authority, who has done amazing work for our air conditioning, also does plumbing. I reached out and they sent Ryan to my home the next day and he did a great job at quickly finding out exactly where the leak was coming from and fixing it. Ryan has tons of experience in plumbing, and I will be sure to request him to come out the next time, God forbid I have a plumbing issue in the future. Your technician, Raymond, worked proficiently and was knowledgeable in answering my questions . Along with doing the Spring Service he noticed some wire connections that were loose and tightened those. Raymond also made several suggestions to insure longer life of my A/C unit, namely adding a surge protector.

Yesterday I had The Comfort Authority install a whole new AC system in my home. I have been getting quotes and talking to many companies about my options and price. Based on a referral from Facebook I called them out for a quote and within 2 hours I decided this was the best company to use. Shawn and Freddie did the most amazing job for the amount of work that needed to be done, They arrived at 8:15 am and left at 11PM!!! Steve the owner came by along with another helper Austin. The quality of the work based on how complicated my install was blew me away.!!! I heard from the owner on JULY 4th to touch base and address a few issues that need to be worked on based on some wiring in my home that was not working. If you are looking for a company to replace or service your AC you HAVE to call them. I have done the leg work and no one compares to the quality/warranties and value for the price. I did not go with the least expensive system this is my home and this is not the place to cut corners. If you don’t call them to take care of your AC needs you don’t need a repair company you need a CAT -SCAN...LOL . Wish I would have found them a month ago my house would have been so much cooler!!! Update 2/7/25 -- We had our annual inspection and ended up getting a new replacement A/C unit. Comfort Authority was extremely patient walking through the process and options, as well as working within our budget. The next day our installers Gary and Ren came out and did a fantastic job, they provided top notch service throughout the entire installation. We've been using Comfort Authority for a couple of years now and I would unreservedly recommend them to anyone. Original Review: I had a competitor out to our house the day prior, not only were they grossly overcharging, when they flushed our AC it only lasted for 15 hours before it overflowed and shut off the thermostat again. I then called The Comfort Authority the following day, and the technician David Hood immediately diagnosed and fixed the issue and saved us from having to replace the piping. David really went out of his way to ensure we received the best service possible. I'll definitely be using The Comfort Authority from now on, and can not recommend them enough.

I called with an issue about my A/C unit which is old and on its last legs. The crew was pretty prompt and I had someone out to my house to check things out by the next day. They were professional, courteous, and seemed to really know their stuff. Using some impressive technology they showed me problem spots in the home, areas in the attic that needed immediate attention, and pointed out the downfalls of my current system. I was charged for a new capacitor to get the system up and going and received a comprehensive write-up with various replacement system options within 5 days. When my unit stopped working soon after the crew left, the owner Steve called and offered to refund my Home Warranty service payment and service my system for the next 12 months free-of-charge. That kind of follow-up is what makes this company unique and makes me satisfied with the choice I made.

Comfort Authority is very professional and customer service oriented. We had two HVAC technicians trouble shoot my system. Sean made the initial visit and Gerald did the follow up. Both services were performed in a timely & professional manner! Evan in customer service scheduling is the best! We had a trouble shooting visit from Michael and he got our system upb& running . Comfort Authority certainly lives up to its name. Having installed my A/C four years ago, their ongoing service continues to boast excellence. After my compressor just stopped working, Rick spent a few hours sleuthing all the circuitry to track down an illusive wire deep inside the unit hidden from view that had burned through due to leaning against one of the coils. I appreciate Rick's determination and perseverance to troubleshoot and fix the problem. Chris was also able to help me troubleshoot a separate problem over the phone to get my unit working again. Comfort Authority continues to show leadership in their team spirit of working with each other to keep their customers up and running. Update 12/29/2022: Gerald came out to help with humidity settings and caught a couple of other issues that needed attention. He was knowledgeable, kind, professional, and a clear communicator. Thanks CA. 03/24/23: Gerald came out again and once more, was quite thorough in doing an assessment of a musty smell we were getting. His follow through on rechecking everything after cleaning out my plugged drain pipe was great. 10/04/24 - I’ve had Michael twice now, once to put in an electric pump for the drainage (which works great), and the other to clean out the duct work and trouble shoot the failing Remi Halo. Michael seems to be very well rounded in his knowledge of A/C systems.

Eric Clauss of the Comfort Authority-Tampa plumbing division performed our annual plumbing maintenance inspection today. He provided several useful suggestions about bathroom plumbing and was able to provide improved pressure at a fixture of concern. Eric is very friendly and in my opinion provided 5 star plumbing service for us. Highly recommended.

We have had our Payne AC for 27 years. Started a maintenance plan with "The Comfort Authority" a year ago. Over the years, we normally kept our internal air around 72 degrees with 56 percent humidity. It continued to work just fine. But after our last servicing, TJ recommended we start shopping for a new AC system. He naturally recommended his company and more specifically, an 'Inverter AC System'. Asked him to provide a quote. Along with the quote, we received a phone call from the owner of Comfort Authority, Steve Cox. He was very positive and confident about his being the best company with the best people. After quotes from 2 other AC companies, and more research on the products recommended by all 3 companies, I decided on the Inverter AC technology. Went back to The Comfort Authority and closed the deal for a new SEER 17+, 5 ton Inverter System with Air Handler in the attic and compressor outside. As far as I could gather, the inverter system worked with a variable compressor motor that housed a master controller that communicated with the air handler controller and thermostat. The speed of the motor was regulated by data received from the indoor/outdoor sensors of the air handler and thermostat. The purpose being more efficient and scalable cooling and heating with less loss of energy. The decision to choose The Comfort Authority was based on pricing, equipment, and convincing assurances that the installers were skilled and reliable professionals. The Inverter AC System, manufactured and branded by Daiken for the Comfort Authority was installed yesterday by Peter, Marshall, Austin, and Freddie. They called to say they were on their way to make our 9:00 am appointment. They arrived at 8:50am. After introducing himself and all the other members of the team, Peter went over every listed item in the order, ensuring we had an understanding and agreement before the work was started. I sign the acknowledgements. They got started. In addition to removing the old system and bringing in the new, they installed a new pad for the compressor, replaced the grates on the return air risers, crawled through the attic and Mastek sealed the existing flex ducting and air handler, added electric surge suppressors for the air handler and compressor, whole house filter with new plenum to maximize coverage with new air handler, soldered copper tubing and insulated piping, zip tied the wiring, installed a new thermostat with a new app for my mobile phone, along with a good lesson on its use. Even though it started raining real hard, it didn't slow them down a bit. They opened a portable tarp to cover the outside installation. All the work is best described as team work. Everyone helping each other get their work done. The work was done well and on time. After sweeping and removing all debris from the attic, garage, and outside work areas, they left us with an amazing AC system. Our normal comfort level is now 2 degrees higher, 74F, and 10 degrees lower humidity, 46. What an amazingly comfortable and cost saving experience. Just met Ray, first time assigned to do our semi-annual AC maintenance and checkup. After seven years, our Remy Halo UV system, which was installed on the outtake side of our Air Handler needed to be replaced. The Halo ensures a cleaner duct system to our home. We have an additional UV light on the intake to air handler. He had the new Halo in his van and replaced the old in about 15 minutes. Fortunately, we are on their Comfort plan, which provided a good discount. Ray is a courteous professional who we look forward to servicing our home again in the summer.

Their customer service is second to none. Everyone from office staff to technicians are extremely professional, informative, and helpful. I have been a member for HVAC and I am now impressed with their plumbing program. Glenn Betancourt came out to do the yearly inspection and was very thorough. I highly recommend Comfort Authority.

I just had Raymond service my A/C unit and he did an outstanding job! He cleaned my coils on the inside unit and replaced my UV lights. On the outside unit he removed vines that had grown into the coils. He was very professional, He explained everything in detail each step of the way and offered me suggestions how to clean and care for my unit moving forward. I am so pleased with his work! My unit looks brand new now and it's performance will be improved as a result of his service! I have used the Comfort Authority now for 4yrs and I highly recommend them.

The Comfort Authority sold me a new system about half a dozen years ago and have been providing routine service ever since. I’ve had no issues with my system and love the service I receive. Once a year they reach out to schedule routine service to make sure I don’t find myself in an emergent situation. I contacted The Comfort Authority to install a reverse osmosis system for my home. The plumber, Eric Clauss, came on time and did an excellent job installing the system. He had to drill through my quartz countertop to install the faucet. He was careful not damage anything in the process. I would recommend this company for plumbing or HVAC needs.

12/1124 Luis came out today formy yearly service. He was great and very thorough. Found no issues! Great guy and great company. 07/09/24 My ac stopped working last nite. I called Comfort Authority early this morning and the tech was here within 3 hours. Chase Prather was able to find and fixed the issue right away. He was very helpful and extremely great to work with. It turned out that the part and labor were under warranty so it was fixed at no cost. I took the opportunity to install a surge protector for the unit which Chase installed immediately. Thanks Chase, you were great. Thank you Comfort Authority for always delivering great service. Update: we were so pleased with the service they provided for our HVAC that we decided to hire them for our water heater replacement (yes they do plumbing too!). Eric was on time, efficient, and communicative throughout the process. Only took him a couple hours from start to finish to complete. Very pleased. Our HVAC had stopped working in the dead of summer. I left a message for Comfort Authority as they were highly recommended by neighbors, and they called me back first thing the following morning to schedule a tech to come out. Michael was fantastic, he was diligent in his diagnosis and gave me a few options. We deemed it necessary to just replace our 22 year-old unit and Michael immediately had Derek come out to draw me up some figures and gave me plenty of options. They got us on the schedule for the following day for the replacement and gave us some portable AC units to hold us over until the new HVAC was up and running. Gary came and installed it for us and was very diligent in showing me exactly what was done. I highly recommend these guys, they are hard-working and very thorough.

I called the Comfort Authority because I was not happy with my previous HVAC service company. I chose them based on universally positive reviews on Google, Better Business Bureau, Yelp and Angie's List. Making an appointment was easy. Rick Haven arrived on schedule and listened patiently as I explained all the problems I was having with my system. He then proceeded to do a thorough examination of our compressor and air handler. This is a follow-up review. It’s been 2 years since my original post. Unfortunately, time had not been kind to our 10 year old HVAC system. It’s time for a replacement. During our annual checkup, our technician, Tony, pointed out a couple of costly repairs that needed to be done. Rather than sinking $2000 into an old system, we agreed to meet with one of their specialists to discuss a new system. Derrick arrived the same day and spent about 90 minutes evaluating our system and discussing our options. We decided to go with a new system that could be installed the next day. The following morning 2 technicians arrived and began the work of removing our outdoor unit as well as the air handler which is in our second-floor attic. Gary and Rob were excellent. Very thorough, neat and professional. It took more than 8 hours to complete the installation. We now have a reliable system that we hope will keep our home cool for many years to come. Thanks for the hard work. Follow-up review. I called the Comfort Authority since it was the first cold day of the season since our new system was installed. The system was not blowing in warm air, so I gave them a call and they were able to send someone right out to diagnose the problem.
